Rangers boss Michael Beale has admitted that talks are ongoing over a permanent deal for on-loan star Malik Tillman.
The Gers claimed another win under Beale on Saturday afternoon, beating Dundee United 2-0 at Ibrox.
Tillman was the star of the show as he scored both goals in a comfortable victory.
The American fired Rangers in front, controlling Todd Cantwell’s pass before rifling into the net.
Tillman made it two after the break, showing neat footwork inside the box before finally smashing his shot through Mark Birighitti.
Two goals and a clean sheet is pretty much ideal for Rangers and Beale, with Tillman earning rave reviews for his performance.
Michael Beale comments on Malik Tillman future
Rangers will soon have a big decision to make on Tillman’s long-term future at Ibrox.
The 20-year-old is on loan at Rangers from Bayern Munich but the Gers do have an option to buy.
The Times report that Rangers do have a £5million option to buy in Tillman’s loan deal.
That’s a considerable outlay for Rangers though and such a deal could have a big impact on Beale’s budget for other signings.
Some may still want more from Tillman but the potential is clear for all to see.
Now with 12 goals and five assists in 39 games for Rangers this season, Tillman has shown he can be a difference maker in the final third.

Add in the potential resale value on Tillman and this is a signing Rangers need to strongly pursue.
Beale has now offered an update and has been quoted by Football Scotland as saying that Ross Wilson is working on a deal for Tillman.
The Rangers boss suggests that discussions are ongoing and Rangers ultimately want to activate their clause.
Beale added that it was great to see Tillman back after some injury problems, hailing his his impact alongside Todd Cantwell and Ryan Kent.
“Ross (Wilson) is away in the background speaking to Bayern,” said Beale. “They have obviously had a change of coach, but we want to activate the clause that we got. There are discussions about that, but he has been really good for us. He has been injured of late but it’s nice to see him, Todd (Cantwell) and Ryan (Kent) playing together,” he added.
