Rangers manager Steven Gerrard provided an injury update on Borna Barisic on Thursday night after he limped out of the win over Standard Liege, as quoted by Andy Newport of the Press Association.
The Gers got their Europa League Group D campaign off to an excellent start in Belgium with a 2-0 victory courtesy of a first-half penalty from James Tavernier and a spectacular long-range strike from Kemar Roofe in injury time.

Barisic was forced off in the 43rd minute after picking up a knock, though, sparking concerns amongst supporters.
However, Gerrard is currently under the impression that the Croatia international has only sustained a minor injury.
“The doctor is not too worried at moment,” he said, as quoted by Andy Newport of the Press Association. “We’ll have to see what he is like in the morning.”
“He felt some tightness in the quad muscle but we’ll assess it tomorrow and probably have a better picture then. But we don’t think it’s a huge problem.”

Rangers boss delivers Borna Barisic injury update – Verdict
Plenty of Bears will be breathing a sigh of relief after Gerrard’s comments here, given how big a role Barisic has played for Rangers so far this season.
The 27-year-old has been in superb form, contributing to a host of clean sheets, scoring once and notching six assists.
Even if the problem isn’t serious, he may not need to be risked in the upcoming games against Livingston and Lech Poznan, though, given how impressive Calvin Bassey was off the bench in Liege.
The 20-year-old earned rave reviews from fans after being subbed on for Barisic just prior to the interval, as he made a number of key challenges and interceptions as well as offering an attacking outlet with his powerful running down the flank.
