Rangers defender Borna Barisic has opened up on a chat with boss Michael Beale in which the pair ‘made some deals’.
The Gers left back has been through ups and down in terms of his form.
After a tricky first season after joining from Osijek, Barisic ended up becoming a key man under Steven Gerrard.
The 30-year-old has received mixed reviews from fans in recent times with his defensive ability receiving criticism.
Rangers decided to bring in a new left back over the summer as Ridvan Yilmaz arrived from Besiktas.
The Turkish talent hasn’t quite settled at Rangers just yet, which means Barisic remains Beale’s first-choice left back.

Barisic has now racked up 10 assists in all competitions this season and continues to make an impact going forward.
Barisic is now inside the final 18 months of his Rangers contract and his long-term future at Ibrox is slightly unclear.
The Croatian international has now admitted that he spoke to boss Michael Beale for around 20 minutes after he took the Rangers job.
Barisic has told The Scottish Sun that they talked about ‘everything’ and not just football and even ‘made some deals’ with each other.
Barisic wouldn’t open up on those deals but claims he and Beale have a relationship that means they are helping each other.
Now feeling very motivated and comfortable, Barisic appears to be loving his time under Beale’s management at Rangers.
“We had a conversation when the manager came in,” said Barisic. “It was 15 or 20 minutes about everything, not only about football. And we made some deals. That’s true. I have a very good relationship with him and that’s a big help to me. Now I feel good, I am motivated and I feel comfortable.”
“The way the manager gives me some things — I won’t tell you what, it’s behind closed doors — means I am trying to give him it back on the pitch. I think that’s how it should be,” he added.
Beale will be looking to keep Barisic in this mode – hungry and motivated in a Rangers shirt.
Whether that leads to a new contract is up in the air but Rangers will look at that on another day; for now it’s all about beating Celtic this weekend with Barisic hoping to win some silverware.
