Rangers have announced a new commercial deal worth almost 50 PERCENT more than their previous best.

The Ibrox club recently released their financial statement for the year and that did not exactly make for fun reading.

But the commercial department have made strides in the past few years, even if other elements of the business have not.

Recent deals have represented good value for the club.

Kindred extended their partnership with Rangers only back in mid-September in what was a sizeable increase from their previous terms.

The agreement was reported by 4Lads to be worth 80 percent more income to the club.

The same report claimed that it could also even rise to upwards of 93 percent should the team perform in Europe and domestically.

Catering partner Elior also upped the ante with an increased agreement with Rangers.

Now the club’s chief commercial officer, Karim Virani, explained how the club have signed a deal with Guavapay as their newest back of shirt sponsor.

And the Herald report that the terms are worth as much as 45 percent more than the previous record fee they received as the biggest back sponsorship agreement in the club’s history.

Speaking to the club’s website, Mr Virani revealed the details and some reasons behind aligning with Guavapay.

He said: “We are delighted to announce Guavapay as our new official lower back-of-shirt partner. As a global brand transforming traditional markets through innovative technology, Guavapay aligns closely with the principles and ambitions of Rangers Football Club.

“Their commitment to leveraging technology to enhance experiences resonates with our own dedication to improving every aspect of our supporters’ journey.

“We are excited about the opportunities this partnership presents and look forward to an exciting collaboration in the years ahead.”
