Rangers have made an official announcement via the club’s website, ahead of tonight’s SPL fixture against Hearts.

The club is extending its Smoking Pilot Project, hailing initial efforts a success.
In addition to the Sandy Jardine, both the Copland and Broomloan stands are now included.
During half-time, stewards will be at designated gates to direct any supporters who wish to use assigned smoking areas, before returning to their seats via the same gate.

In doing so, the club state they are catering to wishes expressed in the Rangers Supporters Survey.

“Rangers are keen to ensure supporters voices are being adequately heard within the club and are pleased to trial this opportunity to respond to an issue that was highlighted in supporter feedback”, read the announcement on the club’s website.
“Please note this area will only be available at half-time and the club thanks our supporters for their continual feedback and help in creating a better match day experience at Ibrox.”

Sandy Jardine Front – Gate 48
Sandy Jardine Rear – Gate 49
Copland Front – Gate 7
Copland Rear – Gate 8
Broomloan Front – Gate 33
Broomloan Rear – Gate 34
The club is often criticised for not taking supporter opinions into account. Therefore, this constitutes a step in the right direction.
