Rangers have announced the extension of a commercial partnership as well as a new collaboration with 5 Stars Limited.

On Saturday morning, the club confirmed that their agreement with Save On Life Insurance, the company that operates Rangers Protect, had been extended into a fourth season.

“We’re thrilled to extend our now long term partnership with Save On Life Insurance and look forward building on the success of the Rangers Protect brand and the various products that have been developed for our supporters,’’ Rangers’ head of commercial and marketing, James Bisgrove, told Rangers.co.uk.

The partnership ensures that the club receives money for every policy purchased by Rangers fans, who then enter the running for monthly prize draws.

The extension follows Friday’s announcement that the Gers have entered a new agreement with 5 Stars Limited, who have become the club’s ‘official Rangers Legends events supplier.’

The two-year deal will see 5 Stars Limited running Q+A events and player meet and greets, while an officially licensed gin range inspired by past stars like Arthur Numan and Lorenzo Amoruso is also being launched.

Rangers announce deal extension and new partnership – Verdict

Rangers supporters are demanding the club sign a new midfielder before the end of the transfer window but the only things announced in recent weeks have been a series of commercial deals.

Last Saturday, a collaboration with Titleist was launched to coincide with the culmination of the US Open and two more deals have now been signed off on by the prolific James Bisgrove.

It’s encouraging that the Rangers Protect operator has stuck with the club during these uncertain financial times and some supporters may be enthused by the new Legends events agreement, especially those who have signed up to MyGers, with members set for priority ticket access.

However, with tighter restrictions coming into place across the country this week and fans faced with the prospect of matches continuing behind closed doors for the rest of the season, Q+A’s and meet and greets with former players look a long way off.
