Rangers and many Gers supporters have responded to a Cove Rangers plea to buy virtual tickets ahead of the Scottish Cup tie between the two clubs.
Rangers kick-off their 2020/21 Scottish Cup campaign with a Third Round clash against the League One minnows at Ibrox on Sunday.

Usually, being drawn against the Champions in a cup competition would bring a substantial cash injection for a lower-league team, due to the sharing of gate revenue.
However, with the match taking place behind closed doors, there’s no automatic financial boost.
Therefore, in a bid to ensure that they don’t miss out entirely, Cove have appealed to the ‘footballing world’ to support their #NothingWithoutFans initiative.
‘We are still eager to capture the magic of the Scottish Cup, and we hope, with your generous support, the club can benefit from this match as we continue to navigate this financially turbulent period,’ reads a section an official club release [Coverangersfc.com].
An invite is then extended to buy a virtual ticket for the match for £10 and those who do will enter a draw, with signed Rangers and Cove shirts from the match amongst the prizes on offer.
It’s later added that 15% of all money raised from the sale of virtual tickets will go to the NHS.
Rangers responded to the move on Twitter on Sunday evening, writing: “Great initiative! Good luck to everyone taking part.”
The initiative has also generally gone down well with supporters, with many praising Cove’s approach, purchasing a virtual ticket and urging others to get involved.

Meanwhile, a Rangers star has received the lowest rating of any player in his international team after a disappointing display in a World Cup qualifier.
