Rangers agree deal for highly rated youth talent – report

Rangers have signed highly-rated youth talent Kyle Semple from Motherwell for a five-figure fee, according to club insider Four Lads Had a Dream.

The reputable Twitter account and blogger announced the move on Twitter and talked up the player’s ability.

A left-back or left-centre back, Four Lads describe Semple as being seen as “a major signing at that level and definitely one to watch for the future”.

It’s the latest move from the Rangers Academy during a spell where the club’s youth set-up continues to go from strength-to-strength.

From four trophy hauls last season to continuing runs in the UEFA Youth League, the club’s youngsters have been a credit to the everyone at Rangers.

The signing of Kyle appears to be a solid investment from the Ibrox side but the true tell of Academy football will be if he can make the grade in the first team.

Similarly, the form of those Nathan Young-Coombes, Kai Kennedys and Lewis Mayos will be a great source frustration if it cannot be transferred through to the top level.

Whilst fans, the club and the youngsters themselves accept that not every player will make the grade at Ibrox, Rangers want to see more young talent coming through.
