Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack is poised to miss today’s Viaplay Cup final clash against Aberdeen having failed to recover from injury.

The Gers head to Hampden Park to take on Aberdeen in the Viaplay Cup final with a chance to cap off a great few days.
Beating Real Betis 3-2 to advance in the Europa League was a sensational night and Rangers fans everywhere will have loved watching Celtic lose 2-0 to Hearts on Saturday.
A win today would leave Rangers fans on top of the world, but Clement will have to go into battle without midfielder Ryan Jack.

Jack hasn’t featured for Rangers since the 2-0 win at Livingston in November.
The Scot has been battling with an injury since the November international break and today’s game will seemingly come too soon for him.
The Herald report that Jack will not feature against Aberdeen today despite seemingly being close to a return to action.
The 31-year-old will have to cheer on his teammates from the stands – and he would no doubt love a win this afternoon.
Jack hails from Aberdeen and came up through their ranks before deciding to join Rangers back in 2017.
Jack would love to celebrate a win over his former club today, but it’s now over to Clement and co to figure out a midfield solution…
Rangers left with midfield problems
Clement will surely have been hoping for Jack to be back in action today given his lack of options in midfield.
Nicolas Raskin remains out of action whilst Jose Cifuentes is both injured and suspended for today’s game.
That leaves Clement scrambling for somebody to partner John Lundstram in midfield and Dujon Sterling looks to be the next man up.
As we noted a few days ago, the absence of Cifuentes would likely mean a chance for Sterling in midfield.
A right back by trade, Sterling has come off the bench to play in midfield for Rangers against both Dundee and Real Betis.
We can’t see Clement going with youngster Bailey Rice and that means Sterling is in line for his biggest test as a Rangers player yet, with silverware on the line.
