Rangers are working their way through every department hoping to make the changes that will see them consistently winning titles and self-sufficient financially.
One of the key pillars of this task is to bring through their own players, not just to meeet UEFA quotas, but because it is a more cost-effective way to build a first-team squad and maximise profit on transfers.

Rangers Under-16s dig deep to reach semi-finals in Alkass International Cup
Rangers got off to a flyer against Seattle Sounders and finished unbeaten in three games following a draw with Mohamed VI Academy in the final league fixture, coach Steven Mundell has set a target for his young charges, as told to Alkass:
“I think as we go through to the next round against what will be a top opposition, whoever it is, I think we have to make sure that our quality and our build up, speed of play and our technical execution, which are normally strong, needs to be at its best,” said Mundell.
“Because we’re not going to change how we play, we’re not going to find a style that’s maybe more percentage football.
“We’re going to play, and we’re going to build and we’re going to expect players to be able to do that.”
Who do Rangers play next?
The group was topped by Seattle Sounders, who Rangers beat 2-0 on matchday one after causing mayhem on the counter attack through Max Cameron and Kyle Glasgow.
On the other side of the draw, Paris Saint Germain currently sit three points clear of Real Madrid.
The French outfit’s 2-1 win between the two giants mean that Rangers will play them in the next round whilst Madrid just need a draw to progess to the semi-finals.
It is a great opportunity for the youngsters to face some of the continent, and the Middle East’s best players, but also to repeat the feat of 2019 and to bring silverware back to the Ibrox trophy room.
