QPR have sacked manager Neil Critchley just two months on from when the ex-Liverpool youth coach replaced former colleague and now Rangers boss Michael Beale.
The news comes with QPR 17th in the Championship and Neil Critchley having only won one of the club’s 12 league games under the manager.
It means QPR – who were top of the English second flight under Michael Beale in October – have won just one in 18 matches with six of those coming under the stewardship of the now Ibrox boss.
Michael Beale had caused a stir with his exit from QPR, the now Rangers manager having previously reiterated his commitment to the Loftus Road side when Premier League Wolves came calling.
However, having served as Ibrox assistant to Steven Gerrard, Rangers are a wholly different proposition and Beale replaced Giovanni van Bronckhorst in Govan in December.

QPR sporting director Les Ferdinand also hinted towards the exit of Michael Beale in the club’s post-Neil Critchley message as he referenced “challenges” to “stability”.
“Unfortunately, things have not worked out how any of us would have liked,” said Ferdinand [QPR].
“As we enter into a critical stage of the season, we understand the need for a swift appointment to be made.
“Stability is key to the success of a football club and this season has presented challenges which have denied us that stability.
“For us to move forward we must all learn from what has happened and pull together.”
It’s the second time in a row that Neil Critchley has replaced Michael Beale in a role, with the manager coming in to replace Beale at Aston Villa alongside Steven Gerrard in the summer.
Rangers have also experienced distinctly different fortunes from QPR since Beale came in too, with the Ibrox manager unbeaten in 14 games, having won 13 of them.
Meanwhile, Rangers fans are hoping for a Malik Tillman Michael Beale bluff.
