Ligue 1 giants PSG are reportedly in the hunt for Slavia Prague’s teenage frontman Abdallah Sima as the striker prepares to face off against Rangers in the Europa League.
The 19-year-old Senegalese forward has been a revelation in the Czech Republic this season, with the striker netting 19 goals already in his breakthrough campaign.
One of these included a long-range strike against Premier League Leicester City to dump them out of the Round of 32.
Sima’s performances have reportedly attracted interest from a couple of Premier League sides with PSG the latest name to be linked to the striker.
According to Le10 Sport, the French Champions have already made an enquiry over the player as he catches the eye of one of the most financially powerful clubs on the planet.
This comes after a report in the Mirror [08/01/21, p. 61] suggested that the striker was West Ham’s number one transfer target ahead of next season with the Hammers in need of striking reinforcements.
West Ham aren’t the only Premier League side reportedly interested with Arsenal also being linked to Sima with Slavia reportedly demanding £45m for his services [Calcio Mercato].
The 6ft2 Senegalese star has certainly been turning heads on the continent and Rangers will get to see first-hand what all the fuss is about when they face off against Slavia next week.
The first leg of the tie is in Czech [11/03] with the return [18/03] a week later as Rangers look to reach the Quarter Final stage of the Europa League.
Sima wasn’t even required for Slavia this week either as a reserve squad annihilated lowly Czech opposition in the country’s national cup competition.
