Premier League side Leeds United have been routinely linked with a move for Rangers star Ryan Kent and they could soon get a cash boost and extra motivation to pounce this summer.
The Elland Road club have been linked with a £15m return for Ryan Kent this summer after having a reported £10m knocked back at the start of this season [the Sun].
Rangers were clear then that this figure does not fit their valuation of the player and it has to be said – we don’t think £15m will come June either.
But the man many believe Leeds signed in front of Kent at the beginning of this season is reportedly attracting interest from some of the most cash-rich clubs in the English topflight.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side splashed out a reported £17m to bring Brazilian winger Raphinha to the club from Rennes in the summer [BBC Sport].
The 24-year-old winger has been a revelation in Yorkshire this season, scoring eight goals and laying on 10 assists in 36 games to have the Lilywhites 10th in the Premier League.
According to a leading Italian journalist, Raphinha’s form has been so good Man United, Liverpool and Man City are all interested in the player’s services.
Contracted to Leeds until 2024 – and still at a very young age – any transfer fee the player would command would be significantly higher than the £17m paid to sign him.
If a club is willing to push the boat out to move for Raphinha then not only will Leeds have cash to burn, but they’ll need to sign a replacement for the attacker.
Rangers fans will be hoping Marcelo Bielsa’s side don’t make the Gers an offer they can’t refuse with some valuations of the player coming in at an impressive £25m.
