This has been an exceptional few days for Rangers.

Thursday’s 3-2 win over Real Betis saw Rangers progress in the Europa League before then winning against Aberdeen.

Add in Celtic’s 2-0 defeat to Hearts and Rangers fans will be loving life right now.

That is the case for some players too with forward Abdallah Sima enjoying getting his hands on a trophy.

The 22-year-old won two trophies at Slavia Prague but this is his first since 2021 and he took to social media to celebrate.

Sima celebrated being by stating ‘what a moment for me to win my first trophy with this massive club, looking forward for more’.

That will give Rangers fans hope of seeing Sima stick around for a little longer, either on loan or permanently.

Sima received a number of responses from other players, including Nottingham Forest defender Moussa Niakhate.

Niakhate stated ‘merité’ – which translates as ‘deserved’ – as he celebrated the achievements of his Senegal international teammate.

Barcelona B talent Mamadou Fall and Motherwell’s Pape Souare both sent their congratulations to Sima too with his cup success attracting attention.

Rangers still have three more trophies to fight for – the Scottish Premiership, the Scottish Cup and the Europa League.

Winning all four is a big ask but let’s hope we see Sima celebrating more trophy wins before his scheduled return to Brighton and Hove Albion.
