The position of Rangers managing director Stewart Robertson on the SPFL board is now “untenable” after a row over the SPFL’s league-ending proposals.
According to the Daily Record, Ibrox director Robertson “brought tempers to a boiling point” after accusing fellow board members of “failing in their duties to look after the game’s best interests”.
As a result of the clash, the Record is claiming that Robertson’s position on the SPFL board “will be judged to be untenable”.

The report also claims that despite this reported clash Rangers’ and Robertson’s Members Resolution on divvying out prize money without announcing winners and losers could still be heard.
According to the Record, the SPFL are now assisting in altering the wording of the proposal to ensure it ticks legal boxes.
Rangers were left furious with delays in returning their original Members Resolution which was considered not to be “competent” by the SPFL’s legal advisors.
Rangers are planning on submitting an updated proposal but criticised the SPFL for the hold-up in returning the documents and applying feedback.
The SPFL have also been accused of lying in their response to Rangers after they claimed they only received the documentation on Thursday night [SPFL].

Rangers would then release a timeline of correspondence through club influencers which refutes these claims.
As it stands a gargantuan amount of pressure has been heaped onto Dundee who are reportedly reconsidering their vote after initially pledging to vote the SPFL proposals down.
