Steven Davis says all Rangers players are playing for their futures after a wretched domestic run of form since the winter break, as quoted by Rangers FC Twitter.
The Gers ended 2019 on a high by defeating Celtic 2-1 at Parkhead to take up a position of strength in the league table.

However, since then, a number of slip-ups have left them 12 points behind their biggest rivals, albeit with a game in hand, and, after Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Hearts, also out of the Scottish Cup.
It’s a slump which has raised questions about the manager and the majority of the playing staff.
Steven Gerrard asserted on Tuesday morning that he would be staying put [Rangers FC Twitter], but there have already been reports of a possible clear-out in the summer [Daily Mail], and Davis’ comments suggest the players are aware that the situation is serious.
“There is a real desire within the group but of course until we go on and win something there will always be questions asked of the group,” said Davis, as quoted by RangersFC Twitter.
“We are all playing for our futures at the club.”
Verdict
Davis is one of a number of players who has suffered a noticeable drop off in form since the winter break.
The 35-year-old enjoyed an impressive first half of the season and was running games up until the end of 2019.

However, he’s looked well off the pace in recent weeks and has been unusually wasteful in possession.
After penning an extension in December, he’s tied to the club until the summer of 2021, but it’s clear he believes that could soon be rendered irrelevant if performances don’t improve.
He’ll be one of those trying to rediscover some form against Hamilton at Ibrox on Wednesday night and it’s important that the team gets back to winning ways.
