Philippe Clement WILL be in situ to face journalists this week ahead of Rangers’ Scottish Premiership clash with Hearts.
The Rangers manager is under mounting pressure after the Scottish Cup exit to Queen’s Park, one of the worst results in the Ibrox club’s illustrious history.
The Scottish Cup exit also effectively ends Rangers’ domestic season, with the 13 point gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership widely considered insurmountable.
But despite the pressure from Rangers supporters and the radio silence from the Ibrox boardroom, Philippe Clement will be in charge for Sunday’s high-noon clash at Tynecastle.
Philippe Clement to face journalists as Rangers manager
Anything but victory over Hearts will surely see the pressure which is mounting on Philippe Clement at Rangers become untenable.
The Rangers manager is also set to face journalists in the pre-match press conference heading into the match on early Friday afternoon.
Rangers will also be sending out a player to face the press after a week defined by near total silence from within Auchenhowie as fan anger is allowed to fester.
According to the Rangers Review, the Rangers press conference is scheduled to take place at around 1:30pm on Friday with fans desperate to hear the latest on the club’s situation.
Philippe Clement can expect to face questions on the disastrous result v Queen’s Park, the mood around Auchenhowie and any talks with the Rangers board.

Hearts manager expecting resurgent Rangers
Hearts manager Neil Critchley is also expecting a wounded Rangers to bounce back against his side at Tynecastle.
The timid display Rangers fans saw against Queen’s Park has been a feature of the Ibrox club’s season but the Jambos boss is braced for an Ibrox fight back this weekend in Edinburgh.
With Hearts on resurgent form and unbeaten in eight games, Critchley is also expecting his own team to contribute to an enthralling encounter.
”You could say that (Rangers’ defeat to Queen’s Park) makes it more difficult for us,” Critchley told Sky Sports.
“Because they’ll obviously be looking for a response from that game.
”Take that game out the equation, and I know Rangers and their supporters won’t do that, but they’ve got excellent players and they’re on a really good run of form.
”We know whenever you play Rangers it’s a tough game.
”However we’re at home. We get the energy and the passion of our supporters behind us and we’re in good form ourselves.
”So it’s got the makings of a really good game.”
