Rangers manager Philippe Clement has cited ex-Bayern Munich winger Nicolas Kuhn as the perfect example as to why Ibrox supporters must be patient with new signings.
Celtic attacker Nicolas Kuhn is the form player in Scotland this season but endured a rocKy six months after joining the Parkhead side from Rapid Vienna last January.
Our Old Firm rivals paid a reported £3m to sign the German attacker and Kuhn has gone on to score eleven goals and lay on eleven assists in all competitions this season.
It’s an impressive return for Kuhn, who started his career with Ajax and spent two years with Bayern Munich before moving to Austria.
But Philippe Clement insists that the forward’s initially complicated start in Glasgow should be kept in mind by impatient Rangers fans.

Philippe Clement singles out Celtic attacker
“I don’t want to make comparisons too much with other teams,” said Clement when talking to a pre-match press conference ahead of the visit of Kilmarnock.
“But the better players, or the better player, in the offensive part on the other side of the town, was six months ago, or last season, was not starting there.
“He (Nicolas Kuhn) needed time to get his rhythm, to get his connection with other players.
“We’re working on that with all these guys and it’s about small details and it’s about getting the confidence and getting the goals.
“But you see that we come more and more in a good way in the box and we get more and more chances, so that’s the way we need to continue.”
Rangers manager set for transfer meeting
Rangers manager Philippe Clement has also claimed that a meeting over this January’s transfer budget is in the pipeline with the Ibrox board.
Interim Rangers chairman John Gilligan told Clement that there would be money to spend in January but the Belgian has yet to have just how much confirmed by the Ibrox directors.
Celtic’s acquisition of Nicolas Kuhn proves that there is value in the January transfer market and Clement claims Rangers need new additions in a number of positions to stay competitive.
”I am not going to go in detail with (transfer budgets) because that’s some things to discuss with the board,” said Clement.
”We have other parts also to strengthen to be competitive every three days but those are things to discuss with the board and for sure also the funds.
”It hasn’t been done yet so it’s going to be in the near future that we need to see the reality of that.
“I think it’s necessary that we can do good things, like every team wants, like every manager wants. We will see what’s possible.”
