New signing George Edmundson, has been speaking about his start to life at Ibrox, as quoted by the Scottish Herald.
The defender’s enthusiasm is clear for all to see and he put in a strong showing against Progres Niederkorn in last Thursday’s Europa League qualifying tie.

The 6ft 3″ unit says he’s relishing the chance to work under Steven Gerrard in Glasgow. However, the ex-Liverpool skipper isn’t the only Premier League legend he’s worked under so far in his relatively short career.
He played under Paul Scholes whilst at Oldham Athletic, too.
The ex-Manchester United midfielder only held the reins at the Latics for eight weeks, before dramatically resigning [
Yet, he still left an impression on Edmundson and the pair have kept in contact since.
Paul Scholes messaged Rangers newcomer
“I spoke to Paul when he left the club and then when I left and he was really pleased for me to sign for Rangers”, Edmundson told the Scottish Herald. “He is a top guy, really good to work with, and I can’t speak highly enough of him.”
“It would have been really good to work with him a bit longer. But a few things went on at Oldham, which I can’t comment on. He was buzzing for me to get the move and he sent me a nice text. It was really nice to hear from him.”

Verdict
Edmundson is fortunate to have worked with two of England’s best-ever players, despite being just a few years into his senior playing career.
It was a classy gesture from Scholes to contact the defender on his move, and it was clearly well-received.
Now it’s time for Edmundson to learn from Stevie G day in day out, as he competes for a starting spot in this Gers team.
