Rangers legend Paul Gascoigne has sent a message to Rangers fans ahead of a special speakers night in his honour at Ibrox.

The former England, Tottenham and Lazio hero is one of football’s biggest and best-known characters and a true legend of the world’s game.

But his time at Ibrox sticks with him so much that the one-time world-class midfielder announced when it comes to Rangers fans “I feel one of them”.

The “How I Became Gazza” night is set to be held on October 5th at the iconic ground where he turned out for three years.

In the show, Gascoigne will go through his life from growing up in Dunston on the River Tyne to becoming one of the greatest footballers on planet Earth.

As part of that, Gascoigne will also be sharing stories of his time at Ibrox when the player won four trophies. Read more about the event HERE.

Gascoigne’s arrival at Rangers sent a shockwave around Scottish football and it is a time in the club’s history which is fondly remembered by fans old enough to experience it.

What is more cherished are the memories of the gallus midfielder playing on the pitch at Ibrox.

Much like Gascoigne continues to feel like a Rangers fan at heart, he retains a special connection with the Ibrox legions.

This was no more evident than in the fall-out of Gascoigne being denied entry into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame.
