Opposition fans frustrations boil over as depleted Rangers earn a point

An under strength Rangers side held Celtic to a draw on Sunday.

The frustration appeared too much for Celtic supporters to take.

In footage shown on social media, Celtic fans can be seen throwing bottles in the direction of Rangers supporters.

Rangers had done well to take a 1-1 draw from the game after Fashion Jnr’s equaliser and really should have won the game.

Clearly, the fact that Rangers had dominated the game, became too much for some Celtic fans, who made their frustrations evident after the final whistle.

In fairness, it was the only battle Celtic had looked like winning all day, so we can’t blame them for being overly aggressive.

They had the chance to wrap up the league championship against a depleted Rangers team and failed, with the away side more focused on Thursday’s Europa League games.

Rangers should be the more frustrated of the two sides having outplayed their counterparts and creating the better chances.

The Scottish Champions host RB Leipzig on Thursday evening in arguably the biggest game in Scottish Football this decade whilst Celtic have a full seven days to prepare for their next game against Hearts.

Uunfortunately for them, they aren’t playing in Europe anymore after becoming the first Scottish side to be dumped out of three European Competitions in the same season.
