Cyriel Dessers has started both competitive games for Rangers so far this season but, for all his hard work, has yet to set the heather alight.
A welcome goal at Ibrox against Servette was more about good positioning than any technical ability and the 28-year old striker will be looking to see more chances fall his way.
Speaking after the 2-1 win over Servette, the summer signing from Cremonese was happy to score but Cyriel Dessers is keen to impress for Rangers, as reported by the official Rangers website.

Cyriel Dessers keen to make Rangers impact
The Nigeria international, who cost a reported £5.4m, has been supported by both Abdallah Sima and Danilo so far with Sam Lammers playing a slightly deeper role.
Against the Swiss outfit, there looked like the early stages of a productive partnership between Cyriel Dessers and Danilo but, reflecting on his own game, was quick to point out that Rangers fans aren’t seeing him at his best just yet.
“Of course, I came in later so I still need some time – this was the first I’ve played more than 60 minutes.
“The first 70 went well and then I was a little sloppy so that’s something to learn from and gain more fitness.
“Overall I had some really good moments, some that were sloppy, but I think that’s all part of it.”

On his X page, posted a picture of him celebrating at Ibrox with a simple comment to end saying:
“The only way is up.”
It has to be taken as a positive that he isn’t happy, it, at least, shows that he understands the demands of playing for a club like Rangers – a win isn’t always all that matters.
