On-loan Rangers youngster Stephen Kelly stole the headlines for Ayr United as the Ibrox youngster scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The talented 19-year-old midfielder has been out of the Ibrox youth limelight in recent months but showed his class to haul the Honest Men to three points in the Championship.
A player who remains highly rated at Rangers, it is Kelly’s sixth goal in black and white this season and his latest since scoring against Arbroath in a 1-1 draw in December.
The result pulls Ayr United to within a point of promotion hopefuls Caley in third place with the Somerset Park club setting their own sights on promotion.
With runaway leaders Dundee United almost certain to nab the top place automatic promotion spot, this was a huge three points in the race for a playoff place.
Despite still being a teenager, Kelly has emerged as one of the leading lights of the Premiership hopefuls and should they pip ICT, the midfielder will have played a massive role.
Not bad for someone so young and for a player experiencing what is really his first taste of first-team football.
Signing a new contract last season there are very high hopes for the youngster.

Whilst the likes of Nathan Patterson, Kai Kennedy and Dapo Mebude might be the talk of Rangers fans, the on-loan Ayr United youngster is also a player to keep an eye on.
Kelly joined Ayr United on-loan at the beginning of the season and has made 27 appearances this campaign for the Ayrshire club.
