Stuart Pearce has revealed that he would have liked to have played for Rangers back in his playing days.
The Nottingham Forest legend was linked with a move to Ibrox during his days at the City Ground.
However, the Englishman decided against moving to Glasgow as he was enjoying life under Brian Clough.

Now, talkSPORT’s Ian Abrahams asked him which club he would have liked playing for, and he said Rangers.
Abrahams said on TikTok: “Team, past or present, you didn’t play for, you’d like to play for?”
Without any hesitation, Pearce responded: “Rangers.”

What Pearce could have achieved at Ibrox
Despite stating in past interviews that even Manchester United wanted him, he still regrets not playing for Rangers.
That shows that he liked what was going on at Ibrox, and he knows that he could have come in and contributed a great deal.
Pearce was one of the best left-backs of his generation, known for his overlapping ability and a thunderous left foot.

He would have also brought leadership to the dressing room and could have become the captain of the Ibrox outfit.
Graeme Souness wanted him in the late 80s, and he undoubtedly would have been able to get the best out of him.
Rangers went on to win nine league titles in a row, and surely with Pearce, they would have been a force in other competitions as well.
There could have been fewer points dropped as well, and he unfortunately will go down as one of the biggest what-ifs in Rangers history.
