Leading Rangers fan media Heart & Hand has rubbished links to £20m Sheffield United striker Oliver McBurnie after they appeared in the press this week.
The Ibrox fan outlet took to Twitter to talk down links to McBurnie who is a boyhood bluenose and likely to be linked to the Gers throughout his career.
Rangers say there’s nothing in the Oli McBurnie rumour.
He’ll probably be one of those players linked with us every window as he’s a supporter.
Nothing is ever true till we see them outside the training centre with a scarf above their head!

“Rangers say there’s nothing in the Oli McBurnie rumour,” tweets the Heart & Hand account.
“He’ll probably be one of those players linked with us every window as he’s a supporter. Nothing is ever true till we see them outside the training centre with a scarf above their head!”
Rangers were linked to McBurnie, 24, by the Daily Mail who claimed the Gers were considering a club record £15m bid for the striker.
Often a more reliable source for transfer stories, it is difficult to imagine Rangers splashing out such an exorbitant amount on a player who scored once in 27 games last season.
A talented striker certainly, McBurnie did not enjoy the strongest campaign at Bramall Lane as the Blades were relegated from the English top flight.
However McBurnie remains highly thought of at club and international level and despite consistent grumbles from the Tartan Army, was a key player for Scotland up until a broken metatarsal ruled him out of this summer’s European Championships.
Rangers are also not the only club being linked to the player with Premier League West Ham also one of the sides credited with an interest [Claret and Hugh].
McBurnie isn’t the only Sheffield United player being linked with Ibrox either as the Gers are once again mentioned alongside a midfielder reportedly being tailed for the last year.
