Ahead of the summit, it was stated that all domestic leagues, European club competitions and this summer’s European Championships would feature in the discussion.

The Norwegian FA, who will have a representative participating in the videoconference, tweeted shortly after 12 pm to assert that Euro 2020 has been moved until the summer of 2021.

The tweet continued on to say that the tournament will take place between 11 June and 11 July, before stating that further updates would soon be forthcoming.

It’s a huge decision taken by European football’s governing body, which could have an impact on Rangers and the rest of Scottish football.

With no major tournament now taking place this summer, space has been freed up, providing the potential for domestic league seasons to be finished.

While there’s no confirmation to this end as yet, the move intimates a desire to avoid ending league campaigns prematurely.
