Nnamdi Ofoborh reacted brilliantly on Twitter when Rangers went 3-0 up against Borussia Dortmund on Thursday evening.

Ofoborh has been at Rangers since the summer but is yet to play for the club because of what Steven Gerrard described as a ‘red flag with a heart issue’ [Sky Sports].

It’s been a tough period for the 22-year-old, as he made clear on Instagram around the turn of the year, but his teammates are supporting him and he was very much behind them when they took on Dortmund in Germany.

Rangers were outstanding in a game they were understandably expected to struggle in.

Two goals in the space of three minutes late in the first half from James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos gave the visitors an unlikely 2-0 advantage at the interval, and then four minutes into the second half, John Lundstram made it three.

The midfielder arrived onto a cutback from the brilliant Ryan Kent and found the bottom right corner with precision, sparking wild celebrations from Gers supporters.

It was dreamland for Bears in the ground and around the world and it seems Ofoborh got suitably carried away too.

He tweeted: “MY TOP IS OFF”, soon after the ball hit the net.

Of course, Dortmund would pull one back almost immediately through Jude Bellingham, but Rangers scored a fourth just three minutes after that in what was a remarkable contest.

Raphael Guerreiro bagged a second goal for the hosts in the 82nd minute to keep them in the tie heading into the second leg, but the Gers are now favourites to progress after one of the most incredible nights in the club’s 150-year history.
