After an encouraging February, the wheels have rather fallen off at Rangers over the last few days.
Firstly, there was a deeply disappointing draw at Easter Road. Once again, the Gers dominated Hibs, but couldn’t convert chances into a sufficient number of goals to put the game out of sight.

The Gers were abject and limped to defeat, registering just two shots on target.
With Gerrard surely looking for a commanding presence to turn things around, Nikola Katic could be the man for the job.
Katic to start on Saturday?
The Croatian international joined the Gers for a reported fee of £2 million in the summer, but has had an up and down time of it at Ibrox.

Sure, he had a slight blip during the first half of the season, but hardly enough to see him frozen out for several months.
After the winter break, he was just getting a run in the side before Connor Goldson returned from injury.
Since then though, he’s been largely consigned to the bench. Once more, he finds himself on a run of over a month without a start.
Yet, there’s a glimmer of hope as Goldson looked off the pace against Aberdeen. Furthermore, surely the time must come when Gerrard prioritises next season.
Nottingham Forest loanee, Joe Worrall, won’t be at Ibrox then, but Katic will.

Starting with Kilmarnock, there’s an opportunity for him to add to his 12 SPL appearances, before the season is out.
A physical, old fashioned centre-half – he could shore up the Gers’ defence once more.
