New Rangers signing Nmandi Ofoborh played the full 90-minutes for Wycombe Wanderers in their 0-0 draw with Birmingham City.
The Ibrox side have struck a pre-contract agreement with Ofoborh who will join the club at the end of the season but despite that the Bournemouth midfielder was sent out on loan to Wycombe.
It’s a positive move for all parties as the 21-year-old gets minutes, Wycombe get back a player who helped them to an unprecedented promotion last season and Rangers have one of their future players develop.
Starting in his natural midfield role, Ofoborh couldn’t help Wycombe to a much-needed three points with the Chairboys rooted to the bottom of the English second tier.
Wycombe would be under pressure for large spells of the match so in the end did manage to hold on to a valuable point over the piece, with Birmingham going down to 10 men when Marc Roberts was sent off with three minutes to go.
Currently 12 points from safety, albeit with a few games in hand on other teams around them, Wycombe need a big turnaround from here to rescue their Championship status.
This is the first time Wycombe Wanderers have reached the Championship in their history and it was always going to be a tall order to remain in a competitive division.

It’s not over yet and Ofoborh will be hoping to be part of one final push to stave off relegation for a side he played 25 times for last season, scoring twice.
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has also alluded to change in the summer window as he explains why Ofoborh was sent to Wycombe and not brought into Rangers on deadline day.
