Rangers have finally announced the signing of Charlton midfielder Joe Aribo, and it’s fair to say that Gers fans are absolutely delighted.
Rangers fought off competition from European, Premier League and rival clubs to secure the 22-year-old.
Steven Gerrard has been waxing lyrical about the player [Daily Record], but Aribo has already proved we’re getting a humble man as well a talented player with his parting message to Addicks fans.

In the touching message, Aribo thanks all of the staff that have assisted him during his time at Charlton, including ex-Ranger Marcus Gayle.
The player was given the room to blossom after being signed from non-league Staines in 2014.
He’d go on to play close to 100 games for the Valley club, contributing 16 goals from midfield.
The midfielder was central to Charlton’s success as they earned promotion to the Championship last season.
Aribo is clearly grateful for the impact that Charlton have had on his development as a footballer and the support he’s gained from the Charlton fans.
He moves on to a much bigger stage at Ibrox and was clearly enthused by the prospect of playing under Steven Gerrard at Ibrox.
A meeting with the Ibrox boss is said to be the major factor in the player moving to Ibrox.
It’s also humbling to see Aribo retain his class in the midst of the furore surrounding his transfer.

Charlton manager Lee Bowyer has been incredibly outspoken about the move,
saying Aribo would be better off at Championship Brentford.
Rangers legend Stuart McCall exclusively told Rangers News that Bowyer has got it “totally wrong”.
