Rangers have appointed a new Ibrox dream team of club legends headed by the one and only Barry Ferguson.
The Gers have looked to the old guard after sacking Belgian manager Philippe Clement following a disastrous run of domestic results.
The hope is that this team of Rangers legends – which includes Allan McGregor, Neil McCann and Billy Dodds – can galvanise a confidence-sapped Ibrox squad.
With Moroccan coach Issame Charai also set to lend a helping hand, it’s this five-man team which will see Rangers through until the end of the season.
And if the Rangers team needs any reminder of what it means to play at Ibrox, then we’re sure the incoming quartet will leave them in no doubts.
Billy Dodds
Billy Dodds is probably the most surprising name on the list of incoming Rangers legends.
But don’t write off the credentials of the 56-year-old former Scotland international striker.
Dodds was one of the best Scottish forwards of his generation and described his time at Ibrox as the ‘pinnacle of his career’ despite coming through the youth ranks at Chelsea.
BBC Sport pundit Billy Dodds has also spent time in coaching and management in Scotland and is highly-respected by Barry Ferguson.
Dodds was part of the Rangers team that went on to win the treble in 2003 but left the club in the January of that year.

Neil McCann
Neil McCann is one of the most popular ex-Rangers players of his era and made a big impact at Ibrox following a move from Hearts.
McCann was a pacey left winger with a decisive crossing ability and it was the forward who time and again managed to make the difference at Ibrox.
Another who has kept himself relevant on the Scottish punditry scene, McCann is respected for his insightful analysis and balanced approach to the game.
The former Scotland international is also himself a former manager having spent time in charge of Dundee.

Allan McGregor
Allan McGregor is arguably Rangers’ greatest ever goalkeeper in a plethora of great goalkeepers.
It’s only been 18 months since McGregor ditched the gloves at Ibrox and hung up his playing boots once and for all.
But if there is anyone at Rangers right now who understands the demands and expectations of playing at Ibrox, it’s the legendary stopper.
McGregor won 13 major trophies with Rangers across two spells and also reached two European Finals, although he was actually injured for the first.

Barry Ferguson
The most decorated player of the lot, Barry Ferguson lifted an astonishing 15 trophies for Rangers across two star-studded spells.
Ferguson came through at Rangers as a teenager under Dick Advocaat and didn’t look out of place surrounded by a legion of Ibrox superstars.
The pigeon-chested midfield maverick was a sight to behold in the middle of park for Rangers and will hope to bring that never-say-die attitude to the team.

An indisputable Rangers legend, Barry Ferguson is in the door at Ibrox with the mandate of restoring pride and getting the message across to this young squad.
