Former Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam might not be on the best of terms with the Ibrox support – but that hasn’t stopped him wanting a return to Glasgow.
Some Rangers fans haven’t forgiven the midfielder for comments he made about the club in the aftermath of 2012, where Adam said he was “not interested” in the club’s demise.

A teammate of now Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard’s at Liverpool at the time, now 34-year-old Adam believes he could still do a job for Rangers, with whom he started his pro career.
Even if Adam believes it’s very unlikely.
“Everybody wants to play for a big club and everybody wants to contribute,” said Adam [GO Radio].
“Is it disappointing when the club are looking at positions where they want to improve? Do I feel that I could still contribute to Rangers? Absolutely.
“But the manager and the director of football want to go in a different way.
“They’ve got a big job on their hands this season and we’ll see what happens.
“Scottish football is where it started for me, it’s something I keep an eye on and I’d never rule anything out.”
Most recently having turned out for Reading, Adam is now a free agent after carving out a very successful career for himself down south.
Adam burst onto the scene in England after moving to Blackpool from Rangers in 2009 and after inspiring the side to Premier League promotion in 2010 earned himself a move to Liverpool.
After one season with the Reds, Adam would spend seven years at Stoke before moving to the Royals.
The midfielder insists he has offers on the table but he is yet to make up his mind on his future.

“I’ve got a few options I’m looking at at the moment at home and abroad,” said Adam.
“I’m just looking to look at the decision with the family in the next couple of weeks and decide where we want to go and what we want to do.
“It (coming back to Scotland) is (an option) but I’ve had no contact with any clubs in Scotland.
“Nobody’s been in contact with my agent or myself, we’ll wait and see what else comes along.”

Adam’s comments in 2012 – with the club at its lowest ebb – has soured his relationship with supporters who bemoaned the player’s inclusion in a Rangers Legend’s match last season.
Charlie Adam signed his first-ever pro-contract at Rangers after coming through the youth ranks at Dundee and would go on to play 88 games for the club, scoring 18 times.
