Rangers fan striker Oliver McBurnie hasn’t had much luck with Scotland and it appears to have run out further still as a report claims the Sheffield United star could be set to miss the Euros through injury.
Sheffield United interim manager Paul Heckingbottom confirmed that the forward McBurnie, 24, is out for the rest of the season with a broken metatarsal.

Ex-Hibs boss Hecky explained the situation regarding the injury in a press conference ahead of the Blades’ tie with Wolves on Saturday.
“Oli is out for the season as well (as Billy Sharp),” said Heckingbottom [Daily Mail].
“He’s got a stress fracture in his fifth metatarsal so we’ve lost two forwards, which isn’t positive.”
McBurnie has been a regular source of criticism from members of the Tartan Army throughout his Scotland career with some discussion over the reasons why.
For many Scotland fans frustration stems from poor performances and an abject attitude – not helped by that clip of him bemoaning a call-up – whilst for others they think he’s a scapegoat due to his footballing allegiances with the blue side of Glasgow.
McBurnie doesn’t exactly care if some find his love of the Gers disagreeable.
The situation certainly casts doubts over whether McBurnie – who has 16 caps but no goals for the country – will be fit enough in time for the Championships.

Speaking of Scotland, one Ibrox star knocking at Steve Clarke’s door could be boosted by reports suggesting a couple of spaces are opening up in the Euros squad.
