Rangers are targeting a pre-contract move for in-form Motherwell midfielder Jake Hastie, at least according to The Scottish Sun.
Still only 19, the midfielder is attracting interest from a host of clubs across the UK after bursting onto the scene in Scotland.
Rangers may well see the player as a low-risk investment and one for the future at Ibrox.

The Motherwell midfielder has scored an impressive five goals in seven games, including two memorable strikes in wins over Hearts and St. Mirren.
But the player himself has spoken about staying at Well, who’ve offered him a three-year deal (The Scotsman).

Hastie is quoted as seeing his immediate future at Motherwell

In quotes from the same report, Hastie suggests his future lies in Lanarkshire.
“I’m still only 19,” Hastie said after the Hearts match. “I’ve still a lot to learn about the game and here’s the best place to do it.
“I think Motherwell’s the best place for me, I just need to keep doing what I’m doing and keep playing well. I came all the way up since I was nine with David, I just feel that playing together is even better right at the top.”

The Scottish Sun report also claims Hastie’s form is interesting Championship sides Hull and Middlesbrough down south, as well as Old Firm rivals Celtic.
Rangers have a rangers of wide midfielders already at the club in Daniel Candeias, Ryan Kent, Eros Grezda, Glenn Middleton and the injured Jamie Murphy.
Jake Hastie is also not the first on-form Scottish player to be linked with Ibrox this year. The conversation over a move for Ayr United’s Lawrence Shankland has been raging all season.
