After the deflating 3-3 performance at Fir Park on Sunday, did the Motherwell draw make Steven Gerrard rush Joe Warrall through?
The Rangers manager wants Worrall in at some point in the next 24 hours, according to the Daily Record. The sudden rush may mean that the Rangers manager didn’t like what he seen in Sunday’s 3-3 stalemate.
A terrible performance from the majority of the Rangers back-line brought much criticism from supporters and pundits. Rangers hadn’t previously conceded more than one goal in a game under Gerrard.
Impressive back-line
There’s no denying the new-look back-line of Nikola Katic and Connor Goldson have made an impressive start. The rave reviews the pair have gotten since arriving have been fully deserved.

However, Gerrard appears in a rush to get the Worrall deal done as soon as possible. The club have until Friday night to secure any deals as the transfer window comes to a close.
This doesn’t necessarily mean the 21-year-old is going to come in and immediately be thrown in to the first-team. With a huge game against Celtic on the horizon, Gerrard won’t be making any mass changes – particularly to the defence.
Yet, the Rangers manager could simply be looking to push his current centre-backs further. The mistakes on Sunday will have frustrated Gerrard just as much as they did the Rangers supporters. Bringing Worrall in will only ensure that the current centre-back pairing remain on their toes to stay in the side.
A loaner

The club are looking to sign up the Nottingham Forest defender on a loan deal, and Worrall certainly has big potential.
The Rangers defence switched to a back three at Fir Park on Sunday. Supporters and pundits have generally accepted that this is the main reason why Rangers shipped three goals.
However, the individual mistakes that led to them would say otherwise.
Gerrard is looking to stamp out the sloppiness at Ibrox. Bringing in Worrall would certainly ensure everyone is on their toes ahead of a huge period for the club both domestically and in Europe.
