Former Rangers striker Michael Mols has discussed Alfredo Morelos in an interview with the Scottish Herald.
Mols knows a thing or two about scoring at Ibrox. He notched 38 goals in 99 league appearances, across five years with the Gers.

Unsurprisingly, he’s been impressed by what he’s seen from the Colombian.
He was even moved to compare El Buffalo to a world-class Barcelona striker.
“He’s very dangerous in the box and I compare him to Luis Suarez”, Mols told
“They are both from South America and you can see the similarities in his temperament and character which shines through in his game.

“It can help him a lot but it can also hinder him. Luis Suarez has done some stupid things like biting and while Alfredo Morelos hasn’t done anything like that you can see he has a habit of doing little things that can cost points.
“He has obviously been sent off but he has an over-my-dead-body attitude. He will learn and you can see now with Suarez that he doesn’t do stupid things.”
Verdict
In some ways, this is a fair comparison. El Buffalo and Suarez are both passionate, confrontational South American strikers.
They are tenacious operators and natural goalscorers.
However, while it’s been a great season for Rangers’ talisman, he’s still got a very long way to go to match Suarez’s achievements.

The Uruguayan has a remarkable 128 goals in 157 La Liga matches for Barcelona and has won the Champions League, amongst a host of other titles.
In terms of performance, he’s a player whose levels Morelos can aspire to reach.
