Rangers sacked Michael Beale earlier this month and it looks like he is set to receive more disappointing news.
Rangers pounced to bring Michael Beale back to the club in November 2022, picking him as the replacement for Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Steven Gerrard’s former assistant certainly new plenty of the Rangers playing squad and was seen as the man to bring success to Ibrox.
That didn’t happen though and, less than a year after appointing Beale, Rangers pulled the plug on his Ibrox comeback earlier this month.
Beale couldn’t produce results or a style of play and with many of his summer signings struggling, Rangers moved on.
Michael Beale wanted Queens Park Rangers job
Beale is likely to attract interest from elsewhere having shown potential as Queens Park Rangers boss last season.
In fact, The Sun’s Alan Nixon reported – just two weeks after Beale’s Rangers exit – that a return to QPR was in his sights.
Beale is allegedly looking to get back into management in England and would be open to heading back to Loftus Road.
That would be somewhat controversial; Beale isn’t exactly popular with QPR fans after deciding to leave for Rangers.
Beale only took charge of 22 games at QPR but bolted for a return to Glasgow, so heading back to West London may not be well-received.

Beale set for QPR disappointment amid Neil Warnock rumours
Well, the door seemed to open for Beale’s potential Rangers return on Saturday evening.
QPR announced the departure of boss Gareth Ainsworth after a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Leicester City.
The R’s have lost 10 of their 14 games and are already six points adrift of safety, so Ainsworth has gone.
Beale may well have hoped for a call but The Telegraph claim that QPR are instead expected to appoint Neil Warnock until the end of the season.
The veteran boss recently left Huddersfield Town and is now ready to dive right back into management with QPR.
That means Beale is set to miss out on the job and will remain out of work, waiting for his next opportunity after leaving Ibrox.
