Rangers manager Michael Beale has said that he wants Ryan Kent to stay amid speculation linking him with a move to Leeds United, as quoted in The Daily Record.

Kent is out of contract at Rangers at the end of the season, and Beale has said that he plans to sit down with the former Liverpool winger during the upcoming international break.

Football Insider have reported that Leeds are interested in signing the 26-year-old winger on a free transfer in the summer of 2023.

Michael Beale on Rangers winger Ryan Kent

Beale said about Kent: “We’ve had discussions around it and we’ve both parked everything until we’ve found a moment.

“The next moment will be in the next international break when we’ll sit and have another chat.

“We’re both cool, we’re both on the same page and I think it’s right after the amount of years he’s been here and the changes with his third manager here as well that he takes time to consider his options. It’s the same that we do as well.

“We’ve not put anything in front of him, we’ve just had conversations, at this moment in time that’s the best place to be.

“Is Ryan Kent playing very well at this moment in time? Yes, so there’s no issue. We just keep moving forward, I’m still building the squad that I want for next year and if he’s in it’s because he desperately wants to be here.

“If he’s out it’s because he doesn’t so it’s quite clear in that sense. Our relationship will always remain the same.

“It’s a young boy that I saw at the start of his journey so I’m quite proud with what he’s achieved so far in his career.”

Could Ryan Kent stay at Rangers?

In our view, there is still a chance that Ryan Kent could stay at Rangers.

Yes, there is no new deal in place at the moment, but it is clear that Rangers manager Michael Beale is keen on the English winger to stay at the Gers.

And he could well be able to convince the winger.

Kent has been superb for Rangers over the years and remains an important player in the team.

The Rangers no. 14 has made 25 starts and one substitute appearance in the Scottish Premiership so far this season.

The winger has scored three goals and given seven assists in those matches.

Kent has also played six times in the UEFA Champions League, once n the Scottish Cup, and twice in the Scottish League Cup.
