Michael Beale recently accused “snakes” of hurting his management career.

The former Rangers boss refused to go into too much detail during a podcast but did mention that a ‘couple’ of his boss roles had been hampered by outside interference.

Beale recently linked back up with Steven Gerrard as Al-Ettifaq assistant manager in Saudi but the move back to being deputy comes following stints at QPR and Sunderland after Ibrox.

The Englishman recently addressed abuse in football in terms of social media reaction to players.

Even the likes of Rangers’ Vaclav Cerny have been forced off online platforms and the 44-year-old insists the mistreatment of stars must stop.

That is when Beale mentioned ‘snakes coming out the woodwork’ as he described keeping his network of pals small.

But now Ibrox legend Craig Moore has had his say and explained how he felt Beale’s opinions were off as there would be nobody within the club secretly hoping he would fail.

The boss’ time at Rangers ended with his eventual sacking after poor results against the likes of Celtic and Aberdeen and Oz reckons things simply didn’t work out.

Rangers icon Craig Moore has labelled Beale’s comments ‘crazy talk’

Though it was not down to anything other than the coach and his methods unfortunately not panning out in a positive way.

Michael Beale, when he was involved at the football club and did get the head coach’s role, he was pretty much in control of everything at the football club, especially in regards to the players”, Moore said on GO Radio.

“I think he got in what he wanted to get in and therefore, could coach them in the way that he wanted, and it didn’t work out for him.

“I can’t see or imagine that you would have people from within wanting him to not be successful. I think that is crazy talk.”

What Michael Beale said about ‘snakes coming out the woodwork’

Beale had said: “Around a couple of the moves I’ve had as a manager I saw loads of snakes and people come out of the woodwork sort of.

”I didn’t like it. It made me uncomfortable.

”Perhaps I would have made better decisions if those people weren’t around but that’s for another time.

”Ultimately, I’m very, very fortunate. I’ve been a manager at QPR, Glasgow Rangers, 52k, Sunderland, 44k in the Championship.

”I’ve worked in the Premier League, I’ve worked in Serie A and I’ve worked in over 60 games in European football in the Europa League and Champions League.

”So 257 games in the system, 77 games as a manager and at 44 I feel that I’m at the start of my career so in that sense I still feel like I’m a young coach.”
