Rangers boss Michael Beale has explained that delays from selling clubs are holding up potential Ibrox deals – something which could explain the situation with LAFC star Jose Cifuentes.
The Gers gaffer was speaking as the Ibrox side go through a substantial revamp this summer with the club having already added six players to their ranks ahead of a summer training camp in Germany.

There remains several players linked to Ibrox in the background with Michael Beale linked most prominently to Nottingham Forest defender Jonathan Panzo, LAFC midfielder Jose Cifuentes and Feyenoord striker Danilo.
The Rangers boss has been explaining the club’s summer business, which he claims is ahead of schedule, with Michael Beale also stating that selling clubs might not quite be ready to say goodbye to their players.
This comes after Michael Beale pushed back on reports Jose Cifuentes was close to signing all the way back in May.
“It has been a huge effort from a lot of people,” said Michael Beale. “A lot of the time you don’t see what goes into a transfer.
“It is not just about me going to meet the player — that is the nice part of it. Not every club wants to move as fast as you.
“We want players in for the start of pre-season, so we have done really well in the negotiation part which is down to James Bisgrove.
“The negotiation with the clubs is the difficult bit; that is when you feel it is out of your control. When you meet a player then that is in your control.
“We are definitely well ahead of schedule with recruitment, and I’m delighted with the work we have done.”

Michael Beale talks transfers as Gers continue Jose Cifuentes pursuit
Whilst there is still some negotiating to be done, all the signs suggest that Rangers are closing in on a deal for LAFC star Jose Cifuentes but Michael Beale is clear here it’s not as simple as agreeing a deal.
The MLS side continue to use Jose Cifuentes in their matches with LAFC slap bang in the middle of their season and trying to best manage their own assets to their own ends.
Whilst a move might for Jose Cifuentes well be on the cards, as Michael Beale explains, it certainly won’t be done until the time is right for everyone involved.
