Rangers are holding more talks to sign Jonathan Panzo and Michael Beale could be the deciding factor.
The Gers seem to be on the verge of another signing this week with Atalanta forward Sam Lammers heading for Ibrox.
The Dutchman will join fellow new arrivals Jack Butland, Dujon Sterling and Kieran Dowell with Beale getting plenty of work done early.
More signings are wanted though and one prime target is Nottingham Forest defender Jonathan Panzo.
The Daily Record reported over the weekend that Rangers are moving closer to signing Panzo in a £2.5million deal.
No agreement is in place just yet but Rangers are pushing ahead with a move for the Forest defender.
Football Insider report that Rangers have been in fresh talks with Forest today in order to try and agree a fee worth around £2million.
Rangers decision-makers are hopeful of getting an agreement done with Panzo becoming an important target for Beale this summer.

Michael Beale could tempt Jonathan Panzo to Rangers
Rangers may have been a little worried on Tuesday night.
Fabrizio Romano reported that clubs in England and Germany are trying to sign Panzo this summer.
That leaves Rangers under pressure to try and finalise a deal for the 22-year-old, who finds himself in demand.
Yet the key factor here could be Rangers boss Beale.
Panzo knows Beale from his time in the Chelsea youth ranks, just as the already-signed Sterling did.
That personal history tempted Sterling into joining Rangers and it could work for Panzo too.
Panzo congratulated Sterling on his move to Rangers earlier this month and they could reunite very soon.
Beating English and German clubs won’t be easy for Rangers but Beale has already shown his pulling power on players he already knows – and the hope is that Panzo will sign up soon.
