Rangers boss Michael Beale has hailed playmaker Tom Lawrence having been impressed with his displays in training.
Rangers beat Hamburg 2-1 at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon as Beale continues to prepare for the new season.
Fashion Sakala and James Tavernier were on the scoresheet for Rangers with Jean-Luc Dompe pulling one back for Hamburg.
This was another good runout for Rangers and the Ibrox crowd were given a chance to see Tom Lawrence in action.
The Welshman joined Rangers on a free transfer last summer, arriving as his Derby County contract came to an end.
Lawrence made a fine impact after his arrival, bagging three goals and two assists in nine games.
It all went wrong for Lawrence in August though as Lawrence picked up a knee injury which kept him out for the rest of the season.
The 29-year-old is now ramping up his return as he finally looks to get his Rangers career moving forward.
Lawrence as given a runout against Hamburg, coming on as a second-half substitute as he continues his comeback.

Michael Beale impressed with Tom Lawrence
Rangers boss Beale has now heaped praise on Lawrence after showing encouraging signs of late.
Beale told Rangers Review that he thinks Lawrence has been training ‘outstandingly’.
Beale did though attempt to calm expectations, suggesting that Lawrence needs to build his fitness levels after nearly a year out.
“To see Tom come back after 10 months was great and he’s been training outstandingly,” said Beale. “But you can see this needs to pick up his fitness. A year out is a long time,” he added.
Lawrence has almost become a forgotten man at Rangers – especially with so many other players in similar areas.
The former Manchester United man must now battle with the likes of Todd Cantwell, Ianis Hagi, Abdallah Sima, Kieran Dowell and Fashion Sakala in attacking roles.
That’s not the easiest of tasks but Lawrence will hope to stay healthy and get back firing again after a long time on the sidelines.
