McCann - “Patrick Viera-like” Glen Kamara will net Rangers a fortune

Former Rangers hero Neil McCann has praised the club’s move for Glen Kamara, comparing him to Patrick Viera and suggesting Rangers will make a fortune from the midfielder.
Speaking to the Daily Record McCann spoke candidly about his thoughts on the player. The former Dundee boss took Kamara to Dundee after the midfielder was released by Arsenal.
McCann believes Kamara is destined for the top. As well as that, Kamara reminded him of a “mini-Patrick Viera”.
That’s exactly the kind of glowing report Rangers fans want to hear about their new signing.

McCann said: “After 10 minutes I looked at my assistant Graham Gartland and I said, ‘My god this boy can move. He can play’.

“He was like a mini Patrick Vieira the way he got about the pitch. He’d fling the big leg across, he’d change direction, you couldn’t get the ball off him. He was strong, he took the ball anywhere he wanted to really.”

Could Kamara net Rangers a fortune?

McCann didn’t just praise Kamara’s ability. He also spoke about the value Kamara could potentially have for any club that ties him down.
At only 23, there is still plenty to come from the midfielder. And by joining Rangers, he will get a big stage on which to play on. It might just be the making of him.

McCann agrees. “Put it this way, his next move is not going to be his last move,” Wherever he goes now he’s going to make that club an awful lot of money.”
“I’ve been there so I know what it takes to play at a club like Rangers. If it was to be Rangers or any of the other clubs that have been mentioned, Glen could play there easily.”

Patrick Viera joined Juventus from Arsenal for £13.75m back in 2005. You just never know.
Kamara will join Rangers at the end of the season when his contract expires at Dundee. That is, unless both sides can strike a deal in this window.
Kamara has three assists in eighteen appearances for bottom of the table Dundee this season.
