English League One side Accrington Stanley have stunned French giants Marseille by defeating the Ligue 1 club 2-1 in a pre-season friendly.
The former European Cup winning side of course travel to Rangers for a glamour friendly this weekend.
But they warmed up for the tie at Ibrox in the worst possible fashion, falling to an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Stanley.
Accrington Stanley beat Marseille 2-1 in a friendly?! MON THE STANLEYYYY! 🙌🙌
The fact they had 2 trialists in their starting XI makes it even better 😆 pic.twitter.com/znp8w7FSDO

The two sides faced off in the unfamiliar surroundings of the AJ Bell Stadium, which is normally reserved for rugby outfits Sale Sharks and the Salford Red Devils.
Sean McConville had the relative English minnows in dreamland before Offrande Zanzala doubled Accrington’s lead from the penalty spot before half time.
World Cup winner Florian Thauvin would find the net for Marseille late on but Accrington Stanley held on for a memorable victory.
It’s not as if Marseille fielded a considerably weak team either.
Club talisman Dimitri Payet started the match whilst Valerie Germain, Luis Gustavo and Morgan Sanson also played from the kick-off.
It may be a pre-season friendly, but going by this result the French giants are miles off in their preparations.
It could well be the perfect time to play them at a raucous Ibrox this Sunday and it’d be a considerable confidence boost to beat them for Steven Gerrard’s side.
And also the perfect chance to exact a small bit of revenge for the inaugural Champions League of 1992.
