Former Rangers winger Amad Diallo has been spotted back in Scotland as Manchester United faced Lyon in a pre-season friendly at Murrayfield.
The 21-year-old Ivorian international winger played the entire first half for the Red Devils as they ran out 1-0 winners against the French outfit in Edinburgh.

Introducing an entirely new team at half-time, Amad Diallo did spurn a good opportunity to get on the Manchester United scoresheet before half-time with Donny van de Beek scoring the only goal of the game.
It’s the first time we’ve seen Amad Diallo back in Scotland since that loan move to Rangers in the latter half of the 21/22 season, the winger having spent last season on loan at Sunderland.
Amad Diallo back in Scotland with Manchester United
Amad Diallo will have high hopes of breaking into the Manchester United team this season after impressing with the Black Cats in the English Championship in the last campaign.
Whilst the young winger initially struggled with life at Rangers, Amad came of age at the Stadium of Light and his blistering 13-goal haul fired Sunderland to the Championship playoffs.
There’s a reason why Manchester United reportedly paid an initial £19m to sign Amad Diallo from Atalanta back in the January of 2021 and Rangers fans have been following the winger’s career closely ever since that Ibrox stint.
As the winger now looks to stake his claim at Man United this summer, there have been suggestions that Erik ten Hag might let the youngster go out on loan again this window.

Naturally, this’ll have some Rangers fans pointing to Amad Diallo but realistically, a friendly return might be the only occasion we’re seeing the winger back in Scotland any time soon.
Amad Diallo made 13 appearances in total for Rangers, scoring three goals, laying on two assists and warming to the club as the Ibrox side reached the Europa League Final.
The winger also started the Scottish Cup Final the same year, playing just over an hour as Rangers defeated Hearts 2-0 at Hampden.
