In a major Rangers boost ahead of Saturday’s top-of-the-table Premiership clash against Hearts, multiple key players have returned from international duty injury-free.

A number of Gers stars have been in action elsewhere in the globe since the Light Blues defeated Hibernian 2-1 in the league at Ibrox at the beginning of the month.

Juninho Bacuna represented Curaçao in friendlies against Bahrain and New Zealand, Leon Balogun, Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey were with Nigeria for a World Cup Qualifying double-header against the Central African Republic, Fashion Sakala turned out for Zambia in a pair of fixtures against Equatorial Guinea and Nathan Patterson impressed for Scotland.

Steven Davis was on Northern Ireland duty and Ianis Hagi starred for Romania, while Glen Kamara, Borna Barisic and Kemar Roofe were away with Finland, Croatia and Jamaica respectively.

Even exciting young midfielder Stephen Kelly was in representative action as he received much-needed playing time with Scotland U21s.

Jamaica’s final qualifier of three was in Honduras overnight so Roofe remains a doubt to face the Jambos.

However, the rest of the international Gers were at Ibrox on Thursday afternoon for the MyGers open training session, suggesting they’re all fit and available for the weekend.

Exciting attackers Hagi and Sakala in particular should be raring to go after scoring on international duty and it’ll be interesting to see what starting XI the manager opts for.

Hearts are the only unbeaten side left in the Premiership but Gerrard knows that if his players get it right on the day, they should be too hot to handle.

In an additional boost, another player looks to be available for selection despite concern that he was isolating.
