Connor Goldson has been described as a major doubt for Saturday’s Old Firm with Celtic after limping off an hour into today’s disappointing draw with Hibs.
The Rangers centre half, 26, has been a near mainstay in the side all season. Whilst Gerrard has chopped and changed at the back throughout the year, Goldson has been his Mr. Consistent.

A powerful, vocal and intelligent defender, it’s a huge blow for the side. With Gareth McAuley also struggling through injury, it could mean Joe Worrall and Nikola Katic will start.
Katic, who was a revelation in early season, hasn’t quite had the same impact since. Worrall has come under much criticism since he joined on loan from Nottingham Forest.
They are 22 and 21 respectively.

Goldson joins a whole host of first teamers who could be out for Saturday’s Old Firm. Graham Dorrans and Jamie Murphy are long-term absentees. Borna Barisic, Gareth McAuley, Scott Arfield and Ryan Kent are doubts.
Saturday’s game also takes on extra significance after Rangers slipped up today and Celtic won. If there is to be a title race, you get the feeling we’ll need to take three points at the weekend.
We might need to do that without key man Connor Goldson.
