Rangers’ kit providers Castore are reportedly looking to strike deals with two Serie A clubs as the Ibrox club’s retail partners continue their venture into elite football.

The Liverpool-based sportswear manufacturers are on a mission to revamp the state of play when it comes to retail and kits manufacturing in sports.

They believe that the industry has been dominated by the same old names for too long and have announced a string of partnerships across a range of sports – with the Gers so far being the only football club in their portfolio.

Earlier reports suggested that Castore had missed out to New Balance in the hunt for AS Roma’s kit deal but the club is going across the city of Rome in the hunt for a new partner [SportsPro].

According to Sports Business, Castore have set their sights on the Italian market with both Lazio and Napoli but conceded talks with either club are not “at a conclusive stage”.

That report also claims early suggestions a deal with Lazio was done are “premature” but suggests that Castore want at least one “high-profile” club in the country.

Lazio’s current deal with Macron expires at the end of the 21/22 season whilst this is the same time Napoli’s deal with Kappa is concluded.

Italy isn’t the only country that Castore are trying to make moves in with the kit manufacturer also heavily linked with two Premier League clubs, namely Wolves and Newcastle United.

The deal with Castore has previously been described as “monumental” by Rangers marketing chief James Bisgrove who revealed the club have sold over 200k official products with the brand.
