Ibrox winger Jordan Jones made a winning return to a Rangers XI after starting a development/reserves side match against Brentford.

The English Championship outfit sent an XI up to play against what was a strong Rangers XI in Glasgow.

The strength of the Ibrox side was evident with Rangers running out 4-0 winners over their English counterparts at the Hummel Training Centre.

Jones was also heavily involved throughout proceedings, even teeing up Rhys Breen for the side’s fourth and final goal.

It’s a long-awaited return to action for the Northern Irish international who has been missing from action since the first Old Firm of the season in September.

Jones was injured as he was sent off for a rash challenge on Patrick Bauer, which he ironically came off the worst from.

It led Steven Gerrard to condemn the winger [Football Scotland] but the focus will now be on getting Jones fully fit and back into the Rangers first team.
