Leon Balogun has been over the course with Rangers plenty of times before.
The veteran Nigerian centre-back, 36, was part of the squad who went unbeaten to lift the title in 2020/21.
Leon Balogun also played an important role in Rangers reaching the Europa League Final of 2022.
With the pressure rising at Ibrox, Philippe Clement has called on the ex-Mainz and Brighton defender to step in and take the heat off Dutch signing Robin Propper.
Facing the press after the unconvincing 1-0 victory over Hearts at Ibrox, Balogun has been discussing the expectations of the Rangers support.
And whilst things can certainly get a little hairy at Ibrox, it’s nothing the Rangers defender hasn’t experienced before with the Nigeria national team.

Leon Balogun on ‘unreasonable’ Rangers demands
Speaking after Rangers’ victory over Hearts, Leon Balogun knows that the standard of the performance wasn’t entirely to the liking of the Ibrox support.
There were groans aplenty as Rangers showed a lack of composure and game management and the impact of a big week of three huge games eventually took its toll.
On a day like the one against Hearts the result is all that matters and Leon Balogun admits that sometimes the demands of life at Ibrox can be ‘unreasonable’.
But the defender has also challenged his Ibrox teammates to stand up and be counted and give an expectant Rangers support more to sing about.
“It’s my fourth season at the club,” Balogun told the press. “I know what it can be like.
“You just have to get on with it to be very honest.
“There are moments where you think, ‘OK that’s a bit unreasonable’. But that’s just the club.
“You have to put that weight on your shoulders as soon as you put on the shirt and deal with it.
“Obviously it can have an impact every now and again, for some players more than others, especially if they’re a bit younger, if they’re not used to it.
“But like I said you have to get on with it and make sure you dig in and turn the momentum around.
“Which is always something if you do then score a goal, if you do take control, you get the opposite of the fans, of the support.
“That’s probably something that we need to ignite even more.”
Rangers fans nothing on stone-throwing Nigeria fans
Leon Balogun was also asked if he has had to adjust to the demands of the Rangers support.
The big defender joined the club in the summer of 2020 and is in his second stint at Ibrox after being unceremoniously released at the end of his contract in 2022.
Re-joining under Michael Beale a year later, there is no doubt Leon Balogun bleeds blue and is a Rangers man for life after a combined four years in Glasgow.
But as for the expectations of life at Rangers, Balogun compared the Rangers support to that of Nigeria with the Super Eagles fans once so riled they pelted their own team bus with stones.
When asked if he had to adjust to the demands of Rangers supporters, Balogun said: “No disrespect to our supporters, but no.
“I said this not too long ago too but playing for the Nigerian national team actually prepared me.
“Believe me or not but they probably have just as much expectation as our supporters.
“Let me put one out there, we played against Sierra Leone maybe, we were winning 4-1.
“Good for me as I came off after 60 and we ended the game 4-4.
“On the way back to the hotel some of the security staff said don’t sit next to the windows.
“I was like ‘why, what’s going on?’ Some players pulled the curtains closed already and five minutes into the drive they threw stones at the bus, our own fans.
“I guess that kind of prepared me.
“The expectation level in Nigeria was always really, really high so I’ve met something like it before and I think that helped me personally.”
